New ɫ��ֱ�� Facility Opens in Hamilton, Ontario Bringing Growth, Innovation and Job Creation

ɫ��ֱ�� is the industry leader in electro-optical/infrared sensors largely due to the tremendous performance of our employees and a dedicated focus on investing in important, next-generation technologies. At the beginning of 2020, as COVID-19 changed the way we look at work, we undertook a review of the plans, the current best practices and the pandemic’s implications on the future.

“As a company we’ve been resilient,” said Kristin Houston, President Electro-Optical Sector. “We’ve come together, through adversity, and persevered to accomplish one of the largest corporate investments in Hamilton in over a generation – and we’re excited about that.”

The heart of the operation is the factory, designed to increase commonality, ergonomics and safety; while reducing cycle, lead and non-value add times. In this new space, product output can see an 80% increase.

By design, this new facility promotes a safe, collaborative and cross-functional environment, where teams are inspired and encouraged to use their creativity and foster their entrepreneurial spirit. Currently 1,250 employees are enjoying the benefits of the new space. By 2023, we are on track to grow to 1,500 employees. ɫ��ֱ��’ Hamilton location is a catalyst for growth, not just here in Canada, but internationally - bringing people together around a shared purpose and collective work.
