ɫֱ Technologies announce a landmark agreement with Air India to become lead supplier of the state-of-the-art ձո25™ Voice and Data Recorders for the airline’s B737-8 fleet. One hundred aircraft will be equipped with ɫֱ' cutting-edge technology - with the possibility of an additional forty planes, cementing a robust future collaboration.

The deal, finalized in April 2024, is the first avionics partnership between ɫֱ and Air India since the latter came under the ownership of the Tata Group and expands the relationship between the two companies, with ɫֱ also providing pilot training to Air India’s current and future pilots.

The comprehensive ձո25™ line features various models tailored to airline needs: from stand-alone Cockpit Voice Recorders (CVR) and Flight Data Recorders (FDR), to combined units and even deployable solutions. Notably, these devices present an eco-friendly option with their Underwater Locator Beacon (ULB), support automated distress tracking and facilitate the timely recovery of flight data.

Between 2025 to 2028, ɫֱ will deliver recorders for the initial slot of one hundred aircraft. The contingent forty are slated for post-2028 fulfilment.

Jan Davis, General Manager for Avionics Programs at ɫֱ said: “Our partnership with Air India underscores our mutual dedication to advancing aviation safety and performance. As we move forward with the deployment of our recorders across Air India's 737-8 fleet, we look forward to enhancing operational efficiencies for the airline while strengthening our collaborative relationship.”

Alan Crawford, President of ɫֱ Commercial Aviation Solutions added: "We are committed to developing and nurturing long-term partnerships with top-tier customers across the globe. This agreement, alongside Air India’s pilot training program, is a great example of how ɫֱ provides a range of aviation products and services that offer multiple solutions to airline customers."
