MELBOURNE, Fla.  — ɫֱ Technologies (NYSE:LHX) received the supplemental type certification for installation on Boeing 737NG aircraft for its SRVIVR25™ A757 cockpit voice and flight data recorder with an integrated recorder independent power supply.

The SRVIVR25 quick-replacement capabilities enable operators to reduce ground support and maintenance time and costs, while providing speedier, secure data download capabilities, faster processing capabilities and fleet commonality.

“The SRVIVR25 A757 provides airlines the ability to replace older recorders with a form, fit and enhanced functionality solution containing better technology, reliability and product longevity from previous recorder generations,” said Alan Crawford, President, ɫֱ Commercial Aviation. “The SRVIVR25 family reduces replacement or upgrade costs and ground support time with easy and quick data extraction.”

All Canadian-registered aircraft equipped with a cockpit voice recorder must meet the Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) 2023 mandate requiring cockpit voice recorders to have a dedicated recorder independent power supply (RIPS) providing at least 10 minutes of power in the event of power source interruptions. The SRVIVR25 A757 cockpit voice and flight data recorder meets the mandate and reduces replacement and/or upgrade costs for airlines using an integrated RIPS eliminating external hardware and wiring. The SRVIVR25 A757 has also received the TCCA validation for installation.
